Gia Javelidze

Gia Javelidze was born on July 7, 1957, and has pursued photography since 1974. After graduating from Georgian Politechnical University in 1979, Gia has worked in various spheres including in architecture, design, metallurgy, aviation - but he never betrayed his love for photography.

In 1984, photography has become Gia's main profession -- taking him all over the world to capture the beauties of cultures, traditions, and nature. Since 2002, Gia is working as a photo journalist in the Georgian Messenger, and his work is published daily in various newspapers, magazines, and other outlets. He has recently served as an official photographer to the President of Georgia during his 2004 meeting with President George W. Bush in the White House.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Gia has held numerous personal exhibitions in Georgia, Russia, Germany, Bulgary, and at the House of United Nations.
